Welcome to Stockport Schools' Brass Band

Purpose

Stockport Schools' Brass Band (SSBB) are the Youth Brass ensemble provision for Stockport. We work alongside Stockport Music Service to provide children aged 6 to 18 years the opportunity to learn to play a brass instrument and perform in a brass band.

We currently have 7 groups within the organisation.

Beginners 1- For those in years 1,2,&3 who have never played a brass instrument, the pCornet or pBone is a great and fun way to start. 

Beginners 2- For those in years 4 and above who have never played a brass instrument, the pCornet or pBone is a great and fun way to start. 

Beginner Percussion - For those who have never played percussion but want to learn

Training Band - This is for children who have started to play a brass instrument perhaps at school and builds on the basics of technique and reading of music.
